Numb

This piece drew its inspiration and idea through the telling of a story in response to the rhythm and sound of the music. Each dancer reacted to the music and generated a series of images associated with how they felt. This sharp, shortened and twisted Contemporary Dance movement is a huge favorite of mine. The beauty of Contemporary dance is that one you have learnt and mastered the techniques of Cunningham, Graham, Limon, Release, Laban  & Contact Technique, the fun begins . Of course you are constrained by these techniques that have been set over the years by out Contemporary founders; however, you can use these in any combinations if you have imagination. This piece is simply that. An array of creative and sudden sharp and mechanical movements to the stories created in our heads.
